Paola and Sofia are a mother daughter team who love to cook and entertain.  Their Latin heritage and Paola's grandmother's recipes served as the inspiration behind their their beautiful cookbook, Fiesta in the Kitchen.

Paola and her family live in San Antonio, Texas.  A native of Mexico, Paola lived in Mexico City until the age of ten when her family moved to Texas.  She attended Trinity University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and went on to earn her MBA at Babson University in Boston.  After a successful career in the financial sector, she retired from the corporate world to focus on her growing family.  During this time, Paola put her creative, entrepreneurial, and business skills to use supporting numerous charitable organizations in the San Antonio community.  Throughout these busy years, Paola retained her personal passion for all things culinary − honing her cooking skills by attending cooking classes, hosting dinner parties for friends and family, and studying the works of the world’s great chefs including her grandmother, the inspiration behind this book.

Sofia grew up in San Antonio.  She loves to travel and cook.  She graduated from Alamo Heights High School and currently attends Vanderbilt University.  She and her roommate run the satirical food blog @hungryyhank where they review restaurants in the Nashville area, their hometowns, and places from their travels around the world.  This endeavor allows Sofia to pursue all her favorite things including restaurant exploration, business, and of course, humor.
